| New pics of Tough posted in August of 2007. He is under saddle while pulling limbs and kids! Check them out by clicking here. Tough Silverado Ace- 84% NFQHA 2004 Silver Grulla Stallion that has two rear pasterns white and a small star. Tough was also raised right here at Circle S and we are very proud of him. Several years ago, I caught the grulla fever(like everyone else) and when I was offered the opportunity to purchase Tough from a breeder in KY, I jumped at the deal. I knew with his awesome silvery blue hue and the color genetics from his parents, that he would not only look awesome himself, but also sire some gorgeous babies! He has really impressed us with his attitude and disposition and we are excited to start getting some foals off of him. He is currently riding very well and we will be sending him to start a show career in a few weeks. We feel like, if he has the ability to prove himself in the performance arena, then we should take the time to allow that before he is needed here full time during breeding season. So we will be patient and let him perform and do well and look forward to many babies off of him in the future. Tough is a great mixture of old and new bloodlines that will make a superior performance horse today. His ancestors were used to show halter, reining, ranch work, roping, penning, barrel racing, etc.... All across the board. The good part of that is that his foals should be able to do anything and everything and excel at it. He is mainly foundation bred with crosses to Sonny Dee Bar, Baron Bell, King, Mr Joe Glo, and Poco Bueno. I can't say enough about this amazing young guy. What a beauty he is with that thick black dorsal stripe, shoulder shading, leg bars, ear tips. He is loaded with dun factor. Both his parents are grulla and he has many more grulla grandparents. Plus he has an unbelievably sweet disposition. We love the idea that we can start a dun breeding program here at Circle S with him and raise great babies for years to come. Everyone he meets stops to appreciate how he stands out in a crowd. His babies will get the same treatment, I guarantee it. Stud Fee for 2008 will be $400.00 with a live foal guarantee. |
