Coltons Cowboy
This gorgeous young stallion's pedigree speaks for itself. He is a son of Peppys Boy 895
who is by
Peppy San Badger. Then on bottom he is by a daughter of Maxi Lena by Doc
O Lena. Just his sire and dam have over $130,000 money earnings in NCHA and his
half sister, Shania Cee won the NCHA Futurity in 1999 and has over $401,000.00 in
earnings all by herself!
. He also has several other siblings and grand sires and dams that
have won or are winning money currently. To top it all off,  he is a BUCKSKIN! Not
many out there that are bred like this and have the color and conformation too. He was
bred, born, and raised by Billy Cogdell of the Tule Ranch in Tulia, TX. In case  you
don't know they are the winner of the 2006 AQHA Best Remuda Award for their horse
breeding operation. They were nominated because they raise such outstanding horses
that can work all day on the cattle operation and then clean up and go the the cutting and
win! Cowboy is the total package when you are looking for a stallion to breed to. We
purchased him in June of 2003 and went and picked him up in Oklahoma. He had not
had much handling then,(we had to run him on the trailer) but he progressed rapidly and
has caught up in his manners and handling so well that you would never know he started
life as wild as a mustang.  He is a quick learner and wants to please. He is gentle and
sweet and loves attention. Love to lick your hand and comes up for attention. He is
made more like the older foundation bred cutting  horses, with nice big bones, straight
legs, nice large hips, and a wide chest on top of that sweet disposition. He is also very
quick and atheletic. He has a pretty shaped head and tiny little ears that must come from
his Peppy ancestors.
The best thing about him by far is what he is producing! His babies are outstanding.
They are born chunky, thick, good headed, nice mannered. They halter break easily and
learn things as fast as you can teach it to them- like a sponge. They stand out in a crowd
with all those pretty colors and have enough heart and try to do anything and excel at it.
We think that you will be pleased with what you see so come by and see us and check
Cowboy out. You will love him!  Stud Fee for 2007 is $400.00 with a live foal guarantee.
Awesome color producer-- over 80% of
his foals off of linebred sorrel mares are
buckskin or palomino!!
